Essential oils and aromatic waters

 

One hectare – or about 2.5 acres – of Borgo Pignano is planted with a range of aromatic plants including rosemary, sage and helichrysum. After harvesting, these herbs are distilled by steam – a process which produces small quantities of essential oils. These are used in our soaps, shampoos and creams and convey the spirits of the fields to the skin.
